Mataram: A unique blend of spirituality, academic excellence, and community engagement came alive at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram on Friday, April 3, 2026, as the campus hosted a meaningful Joint Prayer Ceremony alongside the official closing of its Community Service Program (PkM). More than a ceremonial event, it stood as a powerful reflection of the institution’s identity, where tradition and modernity harmoniously intersect. Carrying the theme “The Spirit of Natural Harmony for a Peaceful and Sustainable Life,” the event highlighted the university’s commitment to nurturing graduates who are not only intellectually capable but also spiritually grounded and socially responsible. It is this integrated approach that positions IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram as a distinctive center for Hindu higher education in Indonesia.

The atmosphere was deeply spiritual from the outset, with students demonstrating their mastery through multilingual recitations of sacred texts, bridging local wisdom with global communication. This ability to articulate dharmic values across languages reflects the institution’s forward-looking vision: preparing students to become cultural ambassadors in an increasingly interconnected world.

One of the standout moments was the English Dharma discourse delivered by Ni Putu Prita Getisha, representing participants of the UPT Bahasa Community Service Program at IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram through the English Dharma Discourse Training program. Her confident delivery symbolized the global readiness of IAHN students to communicate spiritual teachings beyond national borders, an increasingly valuable competence in today’s era.

The event also emphasized collaboration, bringing together internal academic units and external partners in a shared mission of service. Through such initiatives, students are not confined to classrooms but are actively engaged in real-world applications of knowledge, strengthening both competence and character. Adding to the significance of the occasion, Prof. Dr. Drs. I Nyoman Murba Widana, M.Ag. introduced the campus’s new student admission programs, inviting the wider community to be part of an institution that offers not just education, but transformation.

The ceremony reached its spiritual peak under the guidance of revered Hindu priests, including Pedanda Gede Kerta Arsa and Pedanda Gede Made Jelantik Duija Putra, who led the prayers with profound solemnity. Meanwhile, in his keynote address, Rector Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd. reaffirmed the university’s mission to cultivate graduates who embody intellectual sharpness, spiritual depth, and social empathy.

He emphasized that the institution plays a vital role in educating and empowering the Hindu generation to become knowledgeable, ethical, and resilient in facing contemporary challenges. He further highlighted that the campus continues to strengthen its academic and spiritual foundations to ensure the development of competent and dharmic individuals. He also underlined the readiness of the university as a trusted center for Hindu education, committed to delivering quality learning, character building, and meaningful contributions to society.

This event was more than a closing; it was a statement. A statement that IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram continues to evolve as a vibrant academic institution rooted in spirituality, open to the world, and committed to shaping a harmonious and sustainable future. Discover a campus where knowledge, devotion, and global vision grow together.
