
Jakarta — The Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., participated in the 4th Indonesia–Denmark Interfaith Dialogue (DLA), an international forum organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. The event took place on Monday, May 4, 2026, at the Aula Kantin Diplomasi, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Jakarta, bringing together religious leaders, academics, government representatives, and stakeholders from Indonesia and Denmark to exchange ideas and strengthen interfaith and intercultural understanding. Held under the theme “Faith in Humanity: Building Peace through Interfaith and Intercultural Understanding,” the dialogue aimed to generate strategic and practical recommendations to enhance cooperation across religious and cultural boundaries while reinforcing the values of tolerance, diversity, and religious moderation.

Throughout the forum, discussions explored ethical foundations of peace through shared values, emphasized the importance of transforming dialogue into collective action, and highlighted the role of transformative leadership in empowering youth, women, and faith-based communities in building a more peaceful future. The participation of the Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja reflects the institution’s strong commitment to contributing to global discourse on peacebuilding and intercultural dialogue. It also demonstrates the university’s active role in engaging with international partners to address contemporary global challenges through academic and spiritual perspectives.

The event was also attended by Prof. Dr. Drs. I Nengah Duija, M.Si, Director General of Hindu Community Guidance at the Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia, underscoring the importance of inclusive representation in international interfaith discussions. Through this engagement, IAHN Gde Pudja continues to strengthen its global presence and reaffirm its dedication to fostering harmony and mutual understanding across cultures and religions. Looking ahead, participation in this international forum is expected to open broader opportunities for collaboration between IAHN Gde Pudja and global partners, particularly in the areas of interfaith studies, cultural diplomacy, and peacebuilding initiatives.
