He emphasized that empowering women with health awareness is a key step toward building resilient families and communities.

The Rector also elaborated on several institutional initiatives that reflect the university’s commitment to supporting the SDGs through education, research, and community service. Referring to the teachings of the Bhagavad Gita, Chapter 3, Verse 35, he quoted:“Śreyān sva-dharmo viguṇaḥ para-dharmāt sv-anuṣṭhitāt;Sva-dharme nidhanaṁ śreyaḥ para-dharmo bhayāvahaḥ.”.He explained that this sacred verse teaches that it is better to carry out one’s own duty, even imperfectly, than to perform another’s duty perfectly. In this context, he emphasized that the university must remain steadfast in fulfilling its dharma through education, research, and community empowerment, including initiatives such as free health services that directly benefit society.

The event also featured symbolic activities such as the handover of a publication titled “PMS and Gender Harmony in Hindu Perspective,” along with the distribution of souvenirs and tokens of appreciation to distinguished guests.

Following the opening ceremony, participants proceeded through a structured healthcare service flow, including registration, basic screening (blood pressure, weight, temperature), medical consultation, and pharmaceutical services.

Overall, the event was conducted in an orderly and smooth manner, reflecting strong coordination among organizers and partners. More importantly, it reaffirmed the role of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram as a proactive institution in promoting public health, gender awareness, and sustainable development through meaningful community engagement.
