EMPOWERING FUTURE PROFESSIONALS: IAHN GDE PUDJA MATARAM EQUIPS PROSPECTIVE GRADUATES FOR CAREER SUCCESS

Mataram, July 27, 2026 — Demonstrating its strong commitment to producing graduates who are academically accomplished, professionally competent, and ethically grounded, IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram organized the Career Development Workshop for Prospective Graduates on Monday, July 27, 2026, at the Aula Hall, 3rd Floor of the Rectorate Building. The workshop brought together 103 prospective graduates (yudisiawan) from various study programs, accompanied by functional and structural officials of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. More than a ceremonial pre-graduation activity, the workshop served as a strategic platform to prepare students for the realities of the professional world while reinforcing the university’s commitment to fostering successful and impactful alumni.

Chairperson of the organizing committee, Mr. I Gede Bayu Wijaya, M.M., explained that the workshop was specifically designed to provide graduating students with practical knowledge and essential competencies before entering the workforce.“This program is intended to equip our prospective graduates with the skills, confidence, and professional mindset needed to successfully transition from university life into the world of work and community service,” he remarked.

Officially opening the event, Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., emphasized that the university’s vision extends beyond producing graduates with academic excellence. He highlighted that the institution is equally committed to nurturing alumni who possess integrity, adaptability, leadership, and a lifelong dedication to serving society. In his inspiring address, the Rector underscored that alumni represent the living reflection of the university’s vision and values. Their achievements, professionalism, and contributions to society will strengthen the reputation of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram as a higher education institution dedicated to academic excellence, character building, and community empowerment. He encouraged all prospective graduates to become lifelong learners who continuously enhance their competencies while upholding ethical values rooted in Hindu teachings and national character.

The workshop featured a series of distinguished speakers who delivered practical and forward-looking sessions covering various aspects of career preparation. Participants received valuable insights into job search skills, including CV and portfolio preparation, interview techniques, and professional communication, presented by Edy Chandra, M.I.Kom. The program also explored career planning and continuous professional development, delivered by I Komang Widya Purnama Yasa, M.I.Kom., while Putu Arya Reksa Anggratyas, S.Par., M.Par. discussed strategies for identifying competency development needs through training, further study, and professional certification.

Recognizing that professional success is inseparable from personal values, Dr. Desak Putu Saridewi, S.S., M.Pd.H. presented a session on the importance of Satya (truthfulness), Ahimsa (non-violence), discipline, and responsibility as the ethical foundation of the workplace. Complementing this perspective, Ida Bagus Kade Yoga Pramana, M.Pd. discussed effective communication, teamwork, and servant leadership, emphasizing the importance of collaborative and service-oriented leadership in today’s dynamic work environment.

The workshop concluded with two equally important sessions. I Gede Bayu Wijaya, M.M. elaborated on the alignment between academic competencies and the evolving demands of the labor market as well as community service, while Ni Putu Hendri Widiartini, S.Par. guided participants in formulating short-, medium-, and long-term career goals to support sustainable professional growth.

Through this initiative, IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram reaffirms its dedication to holistic education. Preparing graduates who are not only intellectually capable but also career-ready, ethically responsible, and prepared to contribute meaningfully to society.
