
Mataram – Demonstrating its growing commitment to becoming a transformative and socially responsive higher education institution, IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram successfully hosted a Mental Health Seminar while forging new strategic partnerships with leading healthcare institutions. The initiative reflects the university’s vision of extending academic excellence beyond the classroom through impactful collaboration, innovation, and community service. Held on Tuesday, 28 July 2026, at the 3rd Floor Auditorium of the Rectorate Building, the seminar carried the theme “Perempuan Sehat, Mental Kuat Wujudkan SDGs untuk Kehidupan Berkualitas”. The event was jointly organized by Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat (LP2M) IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Dharma Wanita Persatuan (DWP) IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Rumah Bina Keluarga Sukinah (RBKS) Provinsi Nusa Tenggara Barat, and Wanita Hindu Dharma Indonesia (WHDI) Kota Mataram, highlighting a strong cross-sector commitment to promoting mental well-being and sustainable development.

Approximately 140 participants, including community leaders, religious figures, university executives, lecturers, students, and members of the public attended the seminar, reflecting increasing public awareness of mental health as a vital component of individual well-being and social resilience. Prior to the seminar, participants benefited from complimentary blood glucose screening provided by Laboratorium Klinik Prodia Mataram, emphasizing the importance of preventive healthcare and early detection as essential elements of a healthy lifestyle.

One of the event’s major milestones was the signing of strategic cooperation agreements between LP2M IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, Rumah Sakit Mutiara Sukma, and Laboratorium Klinik Prodia Mataram. These partnerships are expected to pave the way for collaborative initiatives in education, research, community service, healthcare outreach, and health literacy programs that will benefit both the academic community and society at large. The successful organization of the event was led by Ni Komang Wiasti, S.Pd., M.Pd.H., Chair of the Organizing Committee and Head of the Gender Studies Center of LP2M IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram. Under her leadership, the seminar was carefully coordinated through the collective efforts of all collaborating institutions and organizing committee members, demonstrating the university’s strong culture of teamwork and professional collaboration.

In her welcoming remarks, Dr. Ni Luh Sinar Ayu Ratna Dewi, S.S., M.Ag., Head of LP2M IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, expressed appreciation to all partner institutions for their valuable contributions. She emphasized that meaningful collaboration across sectors is essential to ensuring that university community service programs create tangible and lasting social impact while contributing to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Representing Laboratorium Klinik Prodia Mataram, Vidya Trisnawati, S.Farm., M.M., highlighted the importance of partnerships between higher education institutions and healthcare providers in cultivating healthier communities. She reaffirmed Prodia’s commitment to delivering accurate laboratory services supported by modern technology while actively participating in health education, research, and community outreach initiatives.

Meanwhile, dr. Wiwin Nurhasida of Rumah Sakit Mutiara Sukma welcomed the collaboration as a meaningful platform to connect academic institutions, community organizations, and healthcare providers. She also introduced the hospital’s continuously improving healthcare services and expressed optimism that the newly established partnership would generate sustainable programs benefiting the wider community.

Officially opening the seminar, Prof. Dr. Ir. I Wayan Wirata, A.Ma., S.E., M.Si., M.Pd., Rector of IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram, underscored that mental health is a fundamental pillar in developing productive, resilient, and high-quality human resources. He reaffirmed the university’s role as a center of education, innovation, and collaborative problem-solving, capable of responding to contemporary societal challenges through strategic partnerships and community-centered programs.

The academic session featured dr. Nurrahmi Ilmi, S.Ked., who delivered an insightful presentation entitled “Sehat Jiwa, Sehat Raga: Investasi Kesehatan melalui Mental Wellness, Vaksinasi, dan Medical Check Up.” Moderated by Ni Made Ayu Gempa Wati, S.Ag., M.Pd.H., the seminar encouraged lively discussion on mental wellness, preventive healthcare, vaccination, and the importance of regular medical examinations. Participants enthusiastically engaged in interactive discussions, raising questions about mental health challenges, women’s well-being, healthy lifestyles, and preventive healthcare practices.

Through this initiative, IAHN Gde Pudja Mataram once again demonstrated its capacity to serve as an innovative, collaborative, and socially engaged institution. By strengthening partnerships with healthcare providers, women’s organizations, and community stakeholders, the university continues to expand the impact of the Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi while contributing meaningfully to the realization of the Sustainable Development Goals and the creation of healthier, more resilient, and sustainable communities.
